Members of Honour
The members of honour of the VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ are persons who have been cooperating with the VSV in an a exceptional way. A lot of activities of the VSV wouldn’t be possible to organise without our members of honour.
Ir. Arjan Meijer
Ir. Meijer started his career at our faculty, studying aerospace engineering, during which he did his internship at KLM researching fleet commonality.
Drs. Arnaud de Jong
After studying economics at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Drs. de Jong quickly moved into the field of aerospace.
Prof.dr. Henri Werij
After studying experimental physics at Leiden University, Professor Werij obtained his doctorate in atomic physics there at the Huygens Laboratory in 1988.
Michiel van Dorst MA
Michiel van Dorst obtained his Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), after which he started as a pilot at KLM.
Prof.dr.ir. O.H. Gerlach
Professor O.H. Gerlach has been a professor and dean of the faculty of Aerospace Engineering. Furthermore Professor Gerlach has been head of the board of the NLR (the Netherlands Aerospace Centre).
Ir. H.W.C.L. Schoevers
The passion for aviation started during military service where Herry Schoevers was an Air traffic controller. He had his maiden flight in the Harvard, S11 and S14.
Lt. Gen. b.d. B.A.C. Droste
Lt.Gen. rtd. B.A.C. Droste is previous dean of the AE faculty, as well as former Commander of the Dutch Royal Airforce.
Ir. Arjan Meijer
Ir.Ruud Uijlenhoet born in 1940, graduated in 1966 at the University of Delft as Aeronautical Engineer.
Drs.ing. P.F. Hartman
Peter Frans Hartman was born in 1949 on Curaçao. He has studied mechanical engineering in Amsterdam. Besides mechanical engineering, he finished economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Former Head of ESA’s Systems Engineering and Programmatics Department and Managing Director German Space Agency.
Ir. H.J.D. Reijnen
Ir. Bart Reijnen graduated on 1995 at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the TU Delft, at the chair of Stability and Control.
Ir. F.J. Abbink
Ir. Fred Abbink graduated in 1968 as Electrical Engineer at the chair of Control Theory, at the TU Delft.
Lt. Gen. b.d. Jac Jansen
Lieutenant General J.H.M.P. (Jac) Jansen, born on 29 February 1956 in Maastricht, the Netherlands, started his military career as an officer cadet at the Royal Military Academy (KMA) in Breda in 1975.
Prof.dr.ir. Jacco Hoekstra
Prof.dr.ir. Jacco Hoekstra received his MSc. degree, as well as a private pilot’s license, from the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the Delft University of Technology.

At this moment, Michel Peters is the general director of the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR).
A.C. Groeneveld
Anne Cor Groeneveld started his professional aviation career as instructor with the National Dutch Flying School (NLS). Then he was trained, as test- and demonstrator pilot for the Siai Marchetti

After a graduate programme at Delft University of Technology, ir. Tineke van der Veen started her career as an Aerospace Engineering alumnus.
