Mats Dirkzwager

Mats Dirkzwager’s VSV career all started in a green flight suit when he joined the Bar Committee in 2012. During his first year, he got to know the VSV and its bar ‘de Atmosfeer’ and gained experience in the association. As a fresher, he developed a special bond with our beloved study society, and until this day it is safe to say that he still considers the VSV as his second home. In his second year, he keenly took on a function in the Freshmen Weekend Committee. As head of programme, he put together an amazing timetable of events, resulting in an unforgettable Freshmen Weekend. Soon after that, the Lustrum was in sight. In his blue suit, he successfully chaired the PreLustrum Committee and shined all year long, preparing the VSV for a Lustrum year with the theme ‘Up Up and Away’. After a year of partying, he took on a more serious position in the Studytour Committee. The logistics of this Amazona’s trip featuring Brazil and Chile proved to be quite a challenge, but it all worked out thanks to his excellent planning. Along with these committees, he invested in the quality of education by sharing his feedback with lectures during evaluation meetings. And lastly, his dedication to making many VSV parties such a success shines above this all. As part of DJ duo ‘Peppie & Kokkie’, he has hosted many epic parties, all of which form memories that the members of the VSV will never forget. He has graciously covered the pillars of the VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ - education, Social and Career - and he is therefore an undebatable asset as a Member of Merit.
