Join us for a thrilling Lunch Lecture by ESA's Senior Technology Coordinator, Andy Norman! In half an hour, he will tell us everything there is to know about Advanced Manufacturing for Space Applications: From Solar Orbiter to the 2040 ESA Technology Vision.
Andy Norman obtained his PhD in 1991 at the University of Surrey in the UK in the research field of advanced aluminium-lithium alloys. He has held research positions at the University of Cambridge and Manchester University, focusing on welding of aluminium alloys for aerospace applications.

As part of the sustainability policy of the VSV, the company policy dictates the rules for collaboration with external companies. Per March 18th 2024 the first company policy was voted in, however with the side note that a new iteration should be done to create a more objective list of companies that should be excluded for collaboration. This GMA the voting will take place to renew this company policy.
