My name is Jim Ruysenaars and this year I’m the President of the 79th board of the VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’. As the president of the society, I am responsible for the overall functioning of the society and the board. This means that I know in general what is happening at the VSV and what my fellow board members are doing. This overview of the society helps me to ensure that the vision of our board fits in the general vision of the VSV 'Leonardo da Vinci' when looking to the future.

As President of the VSV, you represent the aerospace engineering students both within the faculty and to the outside world and companies. During my year I’m responsible for the contact with large aerospace companies, our members of honour, chairmen of other societies and knowledge institutes. Finally, I am also a board member of the ‘Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaart Fonds’ which has the goal to interest people in aerospace and to keep them involved in this sector.
