Ir. Arjan Meijer

Ir. Meijer started his career at our faculty, studying aerospace engineering, during which he did his internship at KLM researching fleet commonality. After graduating, he moved to Royal KPN and worked on the installation of transmission equipment for satellite communication. After this, he returned to KLM for fleet management and development and was there when the first Embraer was added to the fleet. This may have been some foreshadowing, because after working for KLM UK as managing director he returned to Amsterdam to start at Embraer as vice president and later chief commerical aviation and in 2020 ended up becoming CEO of Embraer Commercial. Throughout his career, he always stayed in close contact with the board. He also started becoming more involved with the members when being chairman of the aviation symposium back in 2021 as well as during his interview to inspire in 2023.
