Lunch included! With the growth of automatic speech recognition, questions about inclusivity arise. On Tuesday February 27th, ADD is hosting a lunch lecture with Odette Scharenborg, who is an Associate Professor at TU Delft, with interest in anything and everything speech. She is an expert on the topics of human and automatic speech processing, non-nativeness, and under-resourced languages. In her lecture, she will explain why speech technology does not work well for many people who could benefit the most from it, and will argue why it is important to develop technology for everyone rather than the chosen few.    Come to the Lecture Hall D on Tuesday February 27th during lunchtime to hear about the state-of-the-art speech recognition technology and its implications.
